Bear Awareness & Trash Disposal

Dear Ski Ranchers,

As we continue to enjoy the beautiful surroundings of our Ski Ranches community, it’s important to remain mindful of our local wildlife, especially bears. To help keep both our residents and the bears safe, please adhere to the following guidelines:

• DO NOT TAKE TRASH OUT EARLY! Please put out trash Tuesday mornings and return cans that same evening. This also applies if you have a different scheduled pick up day.

• Secure trash bins. Use bear-proof containers and make sure they are properly closed. Spray ammonia on top of trash and recycle containers before putting them out for pick up as it detracts all animals.

• Avoid leaving food outside overnight or in your cars.

• Lock your doors! Lock all cars and house doors as bears are getting in!
